Claressa “T-Rex” Shields (Flint, Michigan) is one of the most accomplished and dominant athletes in combat sports. Undefeated at 17–0 (3 KOs), Shields is the only fighter—male or female—to hold all four major world titles (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) in three separate divisions. A two-time Olympic gold medalist (London 2012, Rio 2016), Shields made history in February 2025 by becoming the first undisputed female heavyweight champion, defeating Danielle Perkins in her hometown of Flint. She successfully defended her titles in July 2025, scoring a dominant victory over New Zealand’s Lani Daniels. Also Known as the “GWOAT” (Greatest Woman of All Time), Shields has collected world titles across five divisions faster than any fighter in history. She is currently ranked the #1 pound-for-pound female boxer in the world by The Ring and ESPN. Beyond boxing, Shields briefly competed in MMA with the Professional Fighters League (PFL), earning two wins before officially retiring from the sport in 2025 to focus exclusively on her boxing legacy. Her life and career were recently highlighted in the biographical film The Fire Inside (2024). She is also a 2023 ESPY Award winner for Best Boxer and the first woman boxer to be nominated for Sportswoman of the Year at the BET Awards.
